Happy Thanksgiving

Today is Thanksgiving Day in the United States. As the world and media attempt to demonize the holiday, I can’t help but think of what I am thankful for.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, And into his courts with praise: Be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

Psalm 100:4

Today I am thankful for the Truth, Acts 2:38 plan of salvation, and for being filled with God’s precious Spirit. Surrounding those things, life is perfect. Without them, life wouldn’t be worth living, but He chose me and my family to serve Him. He has blessed us for sure!

As we sit down to eat, I know I will be reminded of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, which we will be having before too long. So, today, be thankful to God. Be thankful for what we do have, as insignificant as it might seem. I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving from the Gurley’s!

Leave Your Shoes Behind

This was a picture taken yesterday. The spirit of the Lord hit her so hard she shouted right out of her shoes. It used to be Bobby pin’s everywhere on the floor after a Holy Ghost blowout, but most are too dignified for that.

I have to make up in my mind that I might have to leave my shoes behind. Those shoes that I walk in this dirty world with. The shoes I walk in at work and at the grocery store. The shoes I wear when I can’t make it through a day at work, or even just in public. Those shoes that carries every load that we have, kick them off and worship God through it. It isn’t guaranteed that one shout will fix everything, but going though life, and shouting the walls down will never lead you in the wrong direction. Lose those shoes!
